The snow was greedy for blood that night,
wanting to rant the red
to bulls of society, craving spring.
If only it could’ve been the remains
of the horns from greedy beasts
discovered.
Instead, an innocent child
making a fort for frolicking
brushed away the final symphonies
of snowflakes
to see the head of her BFF
echoing “I’m still young…”
those thoughts, the only thing
not dead.
Her screams much reflected
ones that’d pierced the heavens
nights before.
Sirens saying surreal
to the treetops that wisped
‘not real’ like hash pipes
of dreams your living,
but are still dreams.
But only one person knew the
stopped-breathing nightmare of this nighttime.
The dead girl screeching “Dad’s”
with defence
Her murder strangling “No”
into her neck.
Then their eyes met:
both were delusional
but one was from death
the other with the blindness of insanity
that white jackets called a cage.
A body numb from the snow
and limb as a victim of anger,
lips trying to mouth “…love?”
but coughing blood stained hate
instead.
Her mother conversing with cops
crying cliché tears.
And if only they could
fingerprint the necklace clutched
in the girls hand
trying to grip to life, that read
“your mom loves you”
for the cold case oxymora
of true emotion.
Author notes
A few weeks ago a bunch of missing posters were put everywheres by a girls mother, when her daughter dissapeared.
Funny how she's now a suspect.
Sick. Sick. Sick.

that is sic...yo, let me tell you, every write that you commit to, you seem to get better...i at first hated the "BFF" injection in here, but it makes sense to me now...and to take a theme like this one and convey your descriptions behind it is also a step in the right direction
keep going, young man -
