We've always got a hand to hold
when going through daily strife,
stories and wonderment it does behold
I'm talking about the tree of life.
Babies start off with life
with love and beauty, they grow,
they set our hearts alight
joy from within us, flows.
Friendships are always found
and even some, are lost,
buried deep within the ground
through warm seasons and Winter's frost.
The tree of life never ends
stories are always told,
broken hearts will always mend
from birth, until we're old.

Good Luck in the contest. -
Good write Cynthia. I throughly enjoyed reading this. It had a lot to say about the tree of life and your words worked perfectly with the picture prompt. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the silver.

For me, the notion of the tree suggests, besides friendship, a unity, brotherhood, or any kind of connection between all of mankind...or at least that is how I feel after reading your poem...so yes, basically I stole my notion from you.

Josephine Wall makes me smile and this was a great take on her picture, Tree of Life.
It pretty much captured the message within it for sure. Well done and good luck.
