A baby's laugh,
a baby's smile,
all innocent actions.
This is the basis of human foundations.
Normality.
Uniformity.
Narrow-minded opinions.
This is what we have to look forward to.
The human race,
is both good and evil.
This is certain.
But we only focus on the light.
What we don't want to regognize.
What we don't want to admit;
We live in denial that everything is good.
In fact we are most evil of creatures.
Polluting the earth with chemcials,
Killing animals for sport and not food.
Hurting each other,
Blaming someone for something else.
Lying, cheating, stealing,
from others, from our own selves.
Making up gods to make us happy,
We don't want to face was is reality.
Religions can't give us an answer to everything,
Its another tool to control a mindset.
Leaders have no fucking idea how to run things,
they are just as stupid as we commoners are.
Take a look at our society,
Then at another.
There is more than one way of doing things,
But mortals are too stupid to realize this.
Author notes
this is basically how i feel about humanity in general.

I think many people have been in this place where they have seen humanity as a plague. I know I certainly have and since I have a deeper connection with nature and animals then I do people I can agree with many of the things you have written here. But I also do believe that people are capable of great things, beautiful things, things of hope and of truth..even if they are few and far in between.
As for religion, I agree very much that it is a form of coping for humans and it is sad that so many would prefer to give themselves to a god then to their own strength.
Best wishes to you! -
This is certainly an interesting piece of thought. The darkness here, is the ignorance of society in general. Very detailed expression of thought, well conveyed emotion to carve out a thought provoking poem. Thank you for your entry!
