His pain could be felt
In my heart
I knew something was wrong
Before I got his letter
His best friend was gone
They were like brothers
From high school
To the war
His pain could be felt
Deep in my soul
I knew he was sad
Even before I got his letter
He lost a friend
That he had made
As he ministered to him
And shared his God
I always know
When my baby is happy
Or depressed
I feel his pain
And his joy
We are soul mates
And I wish him the best
I hope that he feels no more pain
And that he comes home soon
I pray every day for him...
