When I opened my eyes today,
I finally saw the truth,
I must admit you played me well,
Never giving me any proof.
Your deceits and lies were thorns,
Each one used to wound me,
Twisting and turning them deeper,
Slowly making me bleed.
Your honeyed tongue was cunning,
Sly, like the liar in you,
Whispering delicious sweet nothings,
And I believed they were true,
But today was different, different,
As you could likely tell,
I bought nothing you promised,
Wanted not what you sell,
Discovered the trickster in you,
I’ve figured how to call your bluff,
I’m at my breaking point;
You’ve driven me crazy long enough.
