Wisdom she said, she wants me to write about
wondering what to write, I think with a pout.
I sit and muse and exercise the gray matter
It moves it stirs, I hear them chatter.
Some say lets write, about wise old dictum
About things tried and tested, discipline of life and decorum.
Some turn wild and want to try something new
Thinking out of the box, not straight but skew.
Yet some others have an agreeable school of thought
Learning from experience is what they sought.
Putting them together,I then realize
After all my cells have had enough exercise
Its a combination of old thoughts and new
Learning from others mistakes and your own experiences too.
But for sure just know gaining wisdom is a process
In which only open mind and heart can help make progress.
Never think that you have learnt it all
For when you think so, you begin to fall.

I liked it!
You've done something new with the prompt you were given and it turned out great! It was very clever and said some true things. Good rhyming, and the humour was subtle and clever.
Overall, great poem, really good
Good Luck!
