And in the still black waters you fell,
Painted as wave and crest.
Unfettered body twisting
To acceptance.
And when your white bones finally sank,
All sensible watchers shrank
From sorrow's drying pool
And wept.
And as you shipwreck, ripples still radiate,
Weakened by time and tide,
But reflected today by me
And kept.
