Oh they’re knotting knitted knickers on the knit-knot tree,
all those nutty knitters down in Yellow Springs.
And the knickers that they’re knotting on the knit-knot tree,
they make Celtic cuties (like me) shout out “Jings!”
When I see those natty knickers on the knit-knot tree –
all the knots so nicely knitted – my heart sings;
For you naughty Buckeye knitters with your knit-knot tree
have equipped this Celtic cutie’s words with wings!
If a Celtic cutie (like me) had a knit-knot tree,
I would teach the Buckeyes how to knit like Scots.
But this kilted Celtic cutie has no knit-knot tree –
it’s in Yellow Springs, and not in Kirk o’Shotts!
If I curse the knitted knickers on the knit-knot tree,
then my Celtic kettle’s black as Buckeye pots!
Coz the knitted knick-knacks knotted on the knit-knot tree
tie this kilted Celtic cutie’s tongue in knots!
If I cared to see the knickers on the knit-knot tree,
I would take a Yankee Clipper outward bound;
I would knock on doors until I reached the knit-knot tree
and the knots of Buckeyes kneeling all around.
They would kiss me – wouldn’t kick me – by the knit-knot tree,
and I’d know a new Nirvana I had found
There in Yellow Springs Ohio, by the knit-knot tree,
I’d creep sockless, coz I’d be on holy ground!
Now I’ve nattered quite enough about the knit-knot tree,
and I wot not what I’m wittering about;
So if you know more than I know of the knit-knot tree,
take a knotty crummock – give my **** a clout!

Ohio has many charms, pallindromed and flat until rising to mountains, waterous and fair, thick with greenery and dark brown soil; it has a warm limbed tree in a small town there, and now a celtic cutie has weaved her words from afar but...magic travels well, in Ohio...wonderful...'skid

I thought the place was round at the ends and high in the middle (according to Devo)

Glad you liked it.

You've been conkered by a buckeye down in Antioch
and your knickers are as twisted as a horned auroch.
Good one on ya, mate!
