Martin Luther King

The bullet hit at 6.01
The twilight of our blessed son
Had come

Long tolls the bell
The knell still rolls
In all assassinated souls

In every man who had a dream
In every king who had a queen
In every city, every state
In every sin that resonates

God Bless You Martin Luther Ling
The hate goes on
The chimes still sting

    one of my heroes..

Your first verse and title are very potent. And your ending was sound. I tripped a bit in the second verse..a minor spelling correction..."assinated" = assassinated.

I do appreciate the social consciousness behind your work..I have read a few now, and will read more.

    All the best,

    Mat

Hey - thanks so much for your kind comments. I appreciate your spelling correction - I am normally such a perfectionist and am cross with myself for that - but I have corrected it now - thanks for the good will. Stephanie x
