Your ringlets reflect
In the wood of the fire
Mahogany flames
Kiss a woman's desire
Alone in a house
Full of folly and cheer
A feminine glance
Carries year after year
In books you succumbed
To the fantasy page
An elegant nod
To the forthcoming age

superb
the rhyming is not forced, it is therefore very good.
'a feminine glance' is among my favourite lines.
this poem is perfect - well done -
Lovely flow in this, she was always such a heroine to me when I read the book, it is quite dog eared now. To have the backbone in those days and yet have the charm was quite a feat. You describe her so well. Love, C

I adore this. I love the character - the dialogue between her and Lady Catherine de Burgh in the garden at Longbourne is one of the best exchanges in literature. I really do love this poem.

This is very nice, very poetic, and shows a lot of Elizabeth Bennett. She is definitly one of my favorite characters of Jane Austens.
Nice flow and nice job!

Rythmic!! I just love it!!!
I knew nothing of Elizabeth Bennett, but by tomorrow I will find out about her. I enjoyed reading your dedication to this woman. I'm sure if she'd read it, she'd be in awe of your talent! Stephanie, you are a magnificent writer. There is no one on this site who can create better than you! There is no one who puts more of their soul into their work than you! You are a muse for me! Thank you for being you, BabyBun.
