Seas come crashing
upon my mind the thrashing
Beaten down this whip and chain
like the sea come crashing
it’s blending all the same.
Dark storms of sea
smothering this child
the innocents of me
fog rolls from the distant land
these dark storms of sea
the thrashing of inner beauty
that once reflected
[me]
Puzzle pieces
drifting seas
broken moments
broken dreams
the many remnants
of what used to be
scared by pain
it’s a blending all the same
of the once reflected

That "inner beauty..." is still there, only so much brighter and enthralling, beauty that spands well beyond description...words cannot touch this beauty, the beauty that is YOU! It is not lost, my friend, you just can't see it now, but one day...you'll close your eyes and there it will be...the beauty that has always been you. I can see it shining so brightly through your words, photographs and paintings. One day you will see it, too.
BLESSINGS & LOVE,
Doris

I am so sorry that you are in pain my dear friend. You have just become a name on my prayer list. Sometimes we suffer so because there is something great in store for us on the other side of the storm. Your poem is filled with raw emotion. I do wish you well dear sister/friend. Excellent writ, even in its sadness.
Much Love Always ♥

We all have days that pain is just to much for us and we really dont know what to do this is a good poem that states that thanks for sharing much love always
-
I know the pain you feel and the parts of me that are lost, yet sometimes found only to be gone again. It is the suffering pain that is hard to overcome. For who you are is now who you were and who is this person in my body is now. Yet, it was the pain that chose my path and lessons of life learned and many blessings earned. Would I rewalk this path of life? NO, But I'm so glad to have learned to BE and to have met true self and love.

Yes.
I can relate and I just wondered if that is origional artwork. Because it is very unique and makes a nice background for the poem. The poem worked out well too. -
So sorry the pain has removed your smile, it has a horrid habit of doing it to the best of us sometimes. This is a beautifully sad piece with awesome imagery throughout. So very well penned, the art work is gorgeous.
-
That is sad. The imagery is amazing, as is the artwork. The colors are beautiful. Water color, right?
Many of us can certainly relate to your words - of lost innocense and childhood bliss;
"Dark storms of sea
smothering this child
the innocents of me
fog rolls from the distant land
these dark storms of sea
the thrashing of inner beauty
that once reflected
[me]"
