Shrinking from the silence,
I allow cluttered, clamoring chatter to fill my days.
There are moments, seconds, heartbeats though
where I am caught in between, and solitude washes clean
my spirit, enveloping me in alone-ness, allowing me
to hear my breath.
My soul cries out in joyous abandon for that shining
instant, realizing it's connectedness with life,
with God, with you,
and it is then that my heart allows itself
to smile.

There are the moments when being alone allows me to feel most connected. Thanks for hosting!

There are two sides to every solitude - the alone side and the blissful side. You have written them well to this prompt within your verse.
I loved the connectedness to each other through a higher power depicting the bliss within divinity. Well done poet. A truly splendid entry to the contest. Thank you. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
