When I was 4 and you were 6
We raced to the hill top
You always let me win
When I was 12 and you were 14
You kissed me
My very first kiss
When I was 18 and you were 20
You asked me to marry you
I told you I love you
When I was 25 and you were 27
You swung me around
Kissed me whispering ‘Thank you’
When I was 30 and you were 32
You let me cry all night
And made me smile at dawn
When I was 40 and you were 42
I asked you if I was beautiful
You took me in you arms
“Your not” you said” your perfect” I blushed
When I was 60 and you were 62
I cried softy
Yu rocked me gently
Now I am dying you not far behind
“I love you” you say
“I know” I whisper.
