Chiming notes
struck the air
and my eyes glossed over
I saw eternity
through the seams in our lives
Where the senses
meet perception
I swallowed back
My story book tales
making way for the
cascading light
Nothing was as clear
as the passion in your voice
as I called your name
and you called me her's
We're past contraceptives
and bullshit
Your smiles were like wishes
wishes of wasted desires
The rag was wrung dry
and I thirsted for sustance
I thirsted for remorse
Suprisingly, I've loved you less
Suprisingly, you've cared more
