Desperate revival
He lies lifeless
In a pool of rich crimson
Deep and sickening
I reach for you
Already gone...
When you made that promise
You must not have intended to keep it
Because here you are
On blood-saturated ground
Surrounded by foreign onlookers
And recognizable me
The crowd will not advance
Haven't you heard?
They just came to see the show
Citizens at the ball who refuse to dance
I'll dance with you
I'll die with you
If only it wasn't too late
I can't ever dance with you
And how you loved to dance!
But I'll be forever lamenting you
You remember singing, don't you?
Forlorn sighs are heard
I ask why you aren't answering me
Did I do something wrong?
I'm sure you'll talk to me tomorrow
You never stayed angry for too long
You always forgave me
Things will still be the same
I hold out my hand
And when you don't reach back
I take you in my arms
We're still on the ground
Now both of us drenched in blood
Passers-by grow fewer
But many still remain
And I won't leave you
Won't let them have you
Because you're mine, remember?
You don't belong to them
We belong to each other, remember?
You promised me forever
Or until we die together
But where's my blood?
I'm only covered in yours
Your life has flickered out
Looking at me
That must be Death
My God, Death is so beautiful
But I still see you
We must be dead
Becuase I've never felt so much pain
I scream as they try to detach me from you
Did I imagine it?
Or have they all disappeared?
It was only you that mattered, anyway
You told me you'd always be here for me
What world are you in, my love?
Why can't you speak now?
Who has stolen your perfect voice?
I won't ever let you go
There's still time, my angel
Let's be immortal together
I'm crying out for you
For your warm breath in my ear
Your gaze in mine
Our hands interlocked
You made me whole
And incomplete, I must prove myself to you
I won't let you break your promise
There is no life without you
I take the knife from you
This mere object that took you from me
Ruined our lives
Shattered our dreams
Rid me of the one thing of value in my life
And thrust it into myself
I recognize the blood of two people now
Different, yet shed together
Image of perfection
I will be with you soon
And then we'll be alright
Then we can share in harmonious embrace
You can tell me what happens to promises
Broken and forgotten
And I can tell you
How I helped you keep your promise
Then I can see your seraphic face
And you can see mine
I can forever look into your eyes
I do so now, yet I still see traces of Death
It's beautiful, isn't it?
"It is now," you utter

They found us in each other's arms
Faces content, with hint of smile
Our bodies were not together forever
But we were buried next to each other
Our souls are always together though
You know that as well as I do
Strange, however
The discovery of the blood of me
But not the blood of you
I'm lost without you
Yet always with you
Why do I still feel like I'm there?
Why can't I see anything but Death in your eyes?
And...why aren't you answering me?
