Twas a week before Easter and bunnies were mad,
cause the chickens were lazy and so very bad.
Not a feather had ruffled or egg had been laid,
nor a marshmallow treat or one choc~o~chick made.
Yet the baskets were ready, the grass had turned green,
but the chickens were steadfast, disturbed and quite mean.
So the bunnies devised a mischievous plan,
they would buy all their eggs from a dude in Japan.
So they hopped to the postal and sent a request,
they so patiently waited but soon got obsessed.
So they boarded an airplane and off they did fly,
and they laughed at the chickens while feeling quite spry.
When departing the plane they saw “him”, the egg dude,
so they offered “the barter”, a trade had ensued.
Having eggs in your basket is what it’s about,
so the bunnies are happy and that is no doubt.
Now the chickens are squawking but all in a coop,
on their way to Japan to be made into soup.
