I hitched a ride alone in a limousine
Across the world to places I'd never been
Where I met a stranger on the way
He was dressed in black without a word to say
Then I slipped into the slipstream
Caught in the wake of his nightmare schemes
He showed me a world of heartache and tears
He showed me how the real world works
Then he told me of a place where he'd been
His eyes were the blackest I had ever seen
Slipping into the slipstream
I was slipping into the slipstream
Slip sliding into the slipstream
Nightmare riding into the slipstream
He called up a shooting star
With a wave of his blackened hand
I thought I was just along for the ride
When suddenly I began to slip and slide
Then I slipped into the slipstream
Caught in the wake of his nightmare schemes
I felt the rushing air upon my naked face
As I flew higher and higher without a sound
And I screamed to him I know this place
Then a rictus grin lit up his face
Slipping into the slipstream
I was slipping into the slipstream
Slip sliding into the slipstream
Nightmare riding into the slipstream
I turned my head and started to call
But like a dying spark I began to fall
And I could see the world spread out far below
I was caught up in a slipstream tossed to and fro
Slipping into the slipstream
I was slipping into the slipstream
Slip sliding into the slipstream
Nightmare riding into the slipstream
I screamed in terror sweet Christ help me
But his rictus grin just kept smiling so serene
When I felt the rush of wind like a roaring train
And my voice was stolen in its deafening refrain
Slipping into the slipstream
I was slipping into the slipstream
Slip sliding into the slipstream
Nightmare riding into the slipstream
