We are the night , we are the shadows
moving about like a myst... unseen, unheard.
We hunger...hunger for that warmth,
that sanguine elixir of life
pulsing warm beneath tender flesh.
We watch you sleep.
Hear your sweet breath rise and fall
in rhythm with your heart.
We long to taste you,
tender flesh giving way,
that rusted essence
as life flows so sweetly from your veins.

This was unexpected! It took a few lines for me to realize who was speaking, but when I did it was sudden and striking. The sweet and flowery words you use to create these images make the whole piece all the more disturbing, like

It's an absolutely beautiful image, but then in the context...chilling. Very nice job! You say a lot and grab the reader in just a few lines.
