After you hit the age of three
the free rides over
you must now …
feed yourself
dress yourself
and get a job!
can’t say;
you will get paid
for babysitting your dolls,
but at least you will have
earned
your free room and
board…

And after puberty, after the ripe age of 21 we have the same chores, lol... a lifelong "babysitting" - or is it just me, lolol!! Lovely sense of humour here, Mal - so enjoyed this one!!

This mad a reader chuckle at first I had to think but see the funny side to this yet the truth is not far from the poets work here. We now send our children to school younger and impress on them more and more at a younger age how important it is to learn. Society gone mad I wonder when now the children have at this age the right to just be children and enjoy their childhood now. This poem although maybe not intended to has inspired thought to this situation a good write here (HM)
