| Dear Minute Friends, How have you been? I’ve been neglecting our relationship. I used to find solace tickling each of you, such small misshapen flotsam, for kernels of wisdom to carry me through the ages... I remember when you aided me in expressing an old insight of mine- of being unafraid to be obnoxious when initiating relationships, so needed when stitching the fabric of our social world together; I recall as you fell into my tea, how you courageously gambled on being hurt, risking pain, inviting dejection, misery, derision, even sorrow in your quest for community, and you should know, that brazen act endeared me to you…
in your miniscule ways, carrying with you the fundamental lessons in life, taking me to places I would resist to go… You already have an ode from me, dust, so in this simple letter I just want to extend my gratitude for your unwearyingly faithful patience as I run off with your wisdom, carrying it out into the world like a young knight with his new sheathed sword banging upon a heavy, emblazoned shield… I must admit however, that though I could lose myself in you to the day's end, you never compared to the universe that I found in another; for in her I found, mirroring in return, the pains and joys in life that mine had been, the same stories, the same yearnings... but then, you have perfectly understood, haven't you, being here now, listening to me without complaint… thanks again, dust.

This is so brilliantly done, a spell error, left off a 'u' on 'you' last line of the second paragraph. I never said you could not do prose and poetic prose it is at that. Enjoyed the ode to dust! Love, C

MY GOD! even your dust bunnies are brilliant!!! is there no one or thing in your house that isn't?
my dust just lies around in total ignorance and they seem to like it that way. The only thing they are helpful about is creating areas that I can write my name in
