In faraway lands
across he sea
Physically dwells
the presence of me
Daily I work
I eat and sleep
for I have so many
promises to keep
Life is hard
in this barren place
and daily I long
to see your face
Torture it is
to be apart

This truly hit hard for me because I currently happen to be far away from home as well. You have written this beautifully and now I'm finding myself trying to swallow down that hard lump in my throat as my mind is drifting back down to Texas (my home) and all the people I love and hold dear waiting for me back there. I'm usually not affected like this so strongly. You have talent. This was beautiful and painful to read.
