Last Goodbye Apr 28 10:57 AM
On a sunny April day in 04,I went on an expected visit, to see my grandmother at the nursing home. ` All was fine and all was well, till I found out she was very ill, and would not make it through the day. ` Something led me there, I don't know who and don't know why, probably God subconsciously telling me she's going to die. ` It seemed like we sat there for years, all of us hoping, praying, talking to her and reminiscing. ` Grandfather sat there by her side, never taking his eyes off of her face, not wanting that final breath to come. ` 56 years together they had been, always together, never apart, through thick and thin. ` Nurses came in and out, checking pulses, feeding tubes, debating whether to take her off support.` Eventually the time had come to let her go, so everything was turned off. ` Time went even more slowly then, everyone was anxious and wishing they could just plug her back in. ` Each breath she took, was more labored than the last, it seemed life was being sucked from her. ` Then her favorite song Amazing Grace, played loudly on the radio, by the time it ended she was gone.

The Storm 5/27/08
The storm swarms all around drenching every inch of me, my life's been thrashed about and dangles helplessly before my eyes. I see the pain and try to hide but it grows stronger every minute, it's waiting for me to fall and drown in its floods. ~ The storm starts to blow away but another round soon approaches, I slip and fall into its floods and my body flows down, down. My flesh is ripped into ribbons and then my pain flows free, I scream and cry and believe I'm gonna die but soon the sun then does arise.

Standing There In His Underwear June 6th
Turn the lights down low put a flame to the candle then sit back and relax while I put you on a show ~ Want me to do a belly dance or glide up and down on the pole your wish is my command but I prefer sweet romance ~ Just as I start to walk away to turn on the radio he grabs my arm gently and pulls me his way ~ Into his lap I fall and he kissed me tenderly I hope you know I love you so but I have to take this call ~ He gets up and walks out the door I start to think to myself what could have I done wrong and begin to pace the floor ~ Then I hear the doorbell ring and ring I throw on a robe to go see who is there probably nobody important wanting nothing ~ Wouldn't you know it standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a giant diamond ring was my man on one knee in his underwear.

You Can Always Find A Friend June 3rd
Outside in her gown the trees are whipping around the tangled mess between her feet makes it hard to walk about~ She walks carefully to the old willow and sits within the swing golden locks of hair sticks to her face todays a day of attacking strangling things~ She sways a bit in the breeze on the swing thoughts amass in her mind she gives herself a little push
and tries to shake off some things~ A little bird begins to sing she turns her ear to hear it a little clearer within the wind it's lonely just like her~ But now they are a pair out here in the open air they were blown together by the wind
she says then Don't worry little birdie I'll be your friend

Sleepy Sleep June 5th
Sleepy Sleep come on now close your eyes and dream of cows~See them flying in the sky them little birdies are way up high~Trot Trot Trot giddy up ole horse you got to win this one mile course~Close your eyes my little girl It's time for you to see the world

Wouldn't It Be Grand
Isn't it amazing how a book comes to life as we follow the trail of words into a fantasy world. As we walk these trails we could take on a character roll feeling as if we're there in a minimal amount of time. We can soar through the clouds as if we were a bird or breathe in the descriptive smells of coffee percolating. Wouldn't it be grand if we could really slip into a portal as we open a book and hop from page to page sometime. May 13 12:07 PM

Forest Of Memories
There in that forest lies the memories of you and I running through the trees, dancing along to nature's song so happily
and whistling the tunes of birds gleefully. We both splashed in that little stream, till we were both soaking wet it seemed. I caught frogs too and chased you around, you hated that giving me such a pitiful frown. Life back then was so full of fun, playing all day till there was no more sun. We dreaded the time when we parted, but the very next day our pleasure restarted. The many hours we spent there together,
were times well shared that lasted forever.

Happy Father's Day Early
The touch and love, of my father was never felt, but his action's spoke louder then words. He was always their to pick me up, rescuing me from my self, always there just in the nick of time. Thank you Daddy for all you did trying to the best of your abilities, raising us bunch of kids. I know it wasn't easy, for Mother never worked at all, and dealing with her was hard as well. Money was always very tight, but warm bed, food and roof over our head, you managed to provide. Bless you Daddy for always being there, this is more to me then saying those silly words, I love you Daddy Happy Father's Day.

Dad I have grown up, cherishing the values, you've instilled in me. I always seemed though, as if I'd not heard a word, but I really did listen. Memories Of You
Memories of you float though my mind some were good and some were bad. The bad times though were good for me cause I know you were trying to just teach a lesson I needed to learn. I hate the times you grounded me sometimes too I hated you for that It seemed to me that the punishment was very unfair. But now I know through my own children that these things are really needed and are done out of love And I now respect you for that. The Good times were oh so fun I enjoyed riding you like a horse and soaring through the air in your arms as you pretended I was your toy airplane. I remember the times You pushed me in that old tire swing I remember giggling at each rise and fall and the smile that shined brightly on your face. These days are gone and I have grown but each day I remember as I raise my own.
