Alone in the darkness I’ve slept for eternity,
Dreaming of how much the world may have changed,
The perils that plague man kinds existence,
The horrors that steeple it’s life,
And the despicable end that will leave it in ruin.
In that lonely dream I hear a faint voice calling to me,
Beckoning for me to awaken from my deep sleep,
"Who are you I cry out, what do you want of me",
Silence cuts through the blackness like a dull knife,
Images begin to flood under my eyelids,
"What madness is this"?
The voice returns from within the darkness,
"Awaken and see what you have missed,
Arise from your slumber and be not afraid,
The world has been awaiting your return,
Go to her and be alive once more".
My eyelids feel so heavy from the centuries they’ve been closed,
Like a rusty door trying to be pried open,
They open like hinges as the darkness pours in,
Filling me with life once more,
Healing the shattered pieces of my broken body,
Raising me from this deathly state.
This realm of wicked thoughts is a prison,
I cannot remember a time before,
When I was born, who I was, where I came from,
It seems as if I’ve been watching the world as it goes along,
An unseen force that neither can see into it’s future,
Nor lend a helping hand to it’s creations,
In it’s meaningless eternity.
"Who are you" I ask,
What is your name? answer me",
The voice returns from the darkness that surrounds my body,
"I have no name just as you,
I have been watching you these past millenniums,
Awaiting for this time to come,
The time for me to awaken you my prince",
"What exactly are you" I ask,
Silence wells up once again,
Blinking red lights surround me,
"I am a part of you,
Quite possibly a creation of your mind,
You must have a very impressive imagination,
To be able to create me in this image,
We are the same in thought,
’But different in body".
"Who am I, do you know my purpose for existing",
I feel the darkness around me thinning like a fog,
Small creatures slip out of it like abominations,
As if the darkness is giving birth to them,
Creating divine creatures,
Far superior to the ones created by the holy earth.
"You are the one who will change this world my dear,
The hand that will shape the earth’s destiny,
Mold it into it’s final form before it withers away,
I am here to help you in your rise to power,
You will rule all of this and more from your throne,
Your darkness will awaken the dead planet,
Consume all life and collide planets,
The world of light will no longer exist".
My pale blue eyes close as I fall to my knees,
When they reopen they are fire red,
"I now know who I am, I am Loki,
And I know what I must do,
You will be my queen at my side,
Because this realm is ours for the taking,
We will rule it with these vile creatures at our command,
The darkness will consume the living light,
And plunge us into the chaotic horrors of oblivion.
