Every face I saw
Was a novel I haven't read,
Written in words
Of which I've never heard.
Until I brushed up against yours-
And suddenly,
You are my dictionary,
My textbook of living.
Love is the first language
I ever learned, but
I never thought I could get the verbs right-
Until I found you.
I used to stumble around,
Painted in white-out
And hiding my graphite marks-
Until you told me I was poetry.
The blank pages lying ahead of me,
One-a-ponce-a-time, were a void
That I avoided like it was the
Challange of real life.
Now, they are only the space
Where I'm going to write
About all the adventures
That we will share...
