My Enemy's Shoes

There's much to gain not much to lose
to walk a little in my foe's shoes

learn where they pinch where they bite
where they're loose and where they're tight

his hurt's now mine I feel his pain
changing shoes was not in vain

for lost is hatred and enmity
I am just left with empathy

Clearly you arrive at conclusions that differ from the ones Sun Tzu conjured. Distinguished worlds with dissimilar perspectives. It is perhaps best named: 'The art of peace'. Here a path that great minds choose to walk, is depicted, compliant with elevated celestial mindsets. Thank you for creating and sharing. Take care.

    Pari,
To know your enemy is to know your self. I think the Eastern philosophers were very wise men. I also think it doesnt hurt to walk in the shoes of those we care about or interact with daily... it might make the world a better place. There is a lot to be said for gaining a better understanding of what other people experience -- what makes him/her laugh, feel vulnerable, happy, sad, angry, passionate. Your words are true and honest. Lovely poem.

    Kind regards,
    Helen

Can't you tell where they are hurting?"<----and therewith you are hurting so many others. You know what I am talking about here, so nothing further needs to be said
