Age won’t keep me away from harm
Running around my farm, house and barn
Caring for my horses
Feeding them and grooming them
Cleaning the isles, sweeping them and brooming them
Shopping at the mall
Walking my dog and hope not to fall
Always loving my deserving steeds
Always planting my lovely seeds
Don’t worry about my back
I’ll still set up the tack
Working on a hot day
Even if it doesn’t pay
Up in the morning at the crack of dawn
Watching the horses mowing my lawn
Carrying heavy hay bales
Eyeing up the feed sales
Evenings spent on the front porch
Drinking tea with a Shetland named Porsche
Every day I’ll inch closer to death
I’ll chuckle to my dog who wants to play fetch
