let me wake up tomorrow..........

when i wake up tomorrow

there will be no more sorrow

they will tell me that
your cancer is gone

and we will stay together forever

i will be the women by your side

wake up one day with a ring on my pillow

and then we will finally make our way down the isle

hand in hand

because you are my man

my wish is not so simple
but i need you for a while

you are my love

you make me smile
you are my other half

my future my present my path

i want to wake up tomorrow
and feel no more sorrow

i want you to be in perfect health
i want us to grow young together
and be more in love than ever

i want you now and forever

i want to wake up and see you
with that spark in your eye

i want to kiss you deep
make love like the beginning and

till the end of time

i want the miracle

because you are mine
i want it to go away
so we can get on with the happy times
not that you have ever complained

you are the bravest man i know
my example

i love you so

please let me wake up tomorrow

without the pain and sorrow

i cannot think of a day without
you

please let the miracle happen

    such a sweet poem! a really great write! and I can tell its from the heart my favorite part was "and be more in love than ever

    i want you now and forever" don't know why..but that part peaked my interest! though the whole thing was great! great job!

    oh sweet poetess.....

    so lovely written and such bold tears and hope for
    happiness. Many, many have survived cancer and come
    through fearless and inspiring souls.
    May your loved one heal powerfully and brighten all our
    lives and your hope with the Bold courage and strength
    that you have in your soul!

    This piece is very painful but very open, heartfelt and beautiful. I think everyone goes through something like this sooner or later, but the closer the person is to you, the harder it is. Don't think for a minute that he is the only brave one, you being there for him proves that. I hope things work out for the better for you.

    This is very good, so much honesty and heart here. I've lived with family members with cancer and it is a horrible thing to bear. Great job.

    This is good but.

    I had to use an envelope to read the poem and what I could get made this a really good poem. But my eyesight cannot tolerate the red background and blue letters. I think this is a fine poem. I would like to be able to read it better with a different background to it. That is all, otherwise a splendid piece.

    Candice,your poem is so hypnotic, it is a mantra, almost a prayer and it conveys so soulfully. So many suffer in this world. That Andrew has you by his side gives all a little hope. In pain we share love. That is so clearly written in this piece Henry x
