As I ride and fall on my two wheels,
The one to pick me up,
Right by my side,
As I rub my sore knees.
The one to stay up with me through the night,
While I struggle with homework,
Right by my side,
Showing me the answers.
As I squeak on my instrument,
The one clapping the loudest in the stands
Right by my side,
Giving me support.
As I read my book,
The one flipping pages beside me on the lawn,
Right by my side,
Silence’s own conversation.
Bouncing that ball or running around
The one always on the sidelines,
Right by my side,
Cheering my name.
On that blanket looking at the stars,
The one with conversations so deep or silly,
Right by my side,
Guiding me through the night.
The computers own mind,
The one trying to figure it out with me,
Right by my side,
Showing me the way.
The one who I love,
Is always there,
Right by my side,
Loving me right back.

Wow, you paint a portrait of a very devoted father indeed. I didn't understand the stanza about "the computer's own mind" in relation to your father, except maybe you are saying he helps you with the technicalities of that. This reminds me of my dad with the mention of clapping from the stands and star gazing especially. He didn't have to put up with squeaking instruments from me, luckily, but that is a cute line. Thank you for sharing your enthusiastic and loving tribute to your dad with me at this time. He sounds like a great guy!
All the best,
ea

Very good indeed. A poem about support, practical support, the way things should be. I love "as I squeak on my instrument". Love flows through every line. Well Done. Have some applause.
