Circle of Promise

Upon my wrist I wear a bracelet woven,
threads of color nicely chosen.
Ones that match your eyes and hair,
blending perfectly with stylish flare.
Years of loving, you are the one I admire,
protective you were, when under fire.
Every strand represents a milestone,
that our friendship stood alone.
When the night slipped away in tears,
your voice on the phone soothed my fears.
Or when the ex boyfriend left me for another,
you did the unthinkable, when it was discovered.
Shaving creamed his locker and car,
you giggled and laughed, as he stomped the tar.
ranting and raving, he kicked the rims,
Happiness in his eyes now got dim.
Or when Johnny, pulled out my chair,
you made him pick it up, by the roots of his hair.
Now fifteen years later we sit and laugh,
about the memories of the past,
so to you I dedicate this bracelet too,
a circle of promise, of a lifetime of loving you.

You can't have a bracelet like that for me! My hair changes colour most months!
I'll think of something you can wear later!
