Colors

Blue
For the fineness of the eyes
That see straight through my deepest flaw

Green
For the thoughtlessness
Of those forgotten comments

Black
For the simple reasons
That I live

Yes there
You see
That is the color of my soul
The thought of the sickly metaphore
That I thought
I stood for

Author notes

i chose these colors because they r some of my faves and they describe me as said in the poem

I like this, though, somehow it makes me sad. Shancy.

The closing lines add such a surprising, but great twist to this poem - very well done!

I like the reflective quality of this poem and the way the words seem to trickle down the page until it pools in the way perceptions can be changed by someone else. You've achieved very nice depth through brevity and simplicity. Lovely work!

Thank you for sharing your colours with us in this contest.
