The darkness creeps
The night is lonly and cold
Pain desends to your anger
because your lost in the darken hole
Senseless bleeding
hopeless deathly kisses in the wind
No hope of suceeding
when you see your whole life collaspe
Traps and boundries
A hidden choice to breathe
Guns and helecopters bleeding the remains of it's bullets
Heros to the dreaded seethe
Death in the tall grass
The night without end
the forgotten truth
for the heros that died there!
Empty spaces left in the people that survived
Distant nightmares of the faces left unknown
For the loss I've tried to get the images from my head
and my heart goes out to the ones with mental scars
Author notes
I got inspired by We WERE SOILDIERS ONCE AND YOUNG!
BY LT GEN Harold Moore and Joseph Galloway. A good book I can hardly put down!

A heartfelt write
Thank you for your entry. -
Wow, Powerful stuff...
Great descriptive narrative that paints a bleak & sorrowful picture in the mind of the reader regarding the follies of war...
I felt the pain & passion behind your words & although I've never read the book, I shall endeavour to look out for it...
Well done!!!

Well Written
This is a very personal and well written peice that does tell of that ugly time in American history, that has been so overlooked for the most part... due to the fact that it was indeed a ugly event. Well done, and God Bless -
You have written a piece that really touches the reader. That time in our country was awful and it seems it has come back again with the present state of things. You did a great job with this.
