Only time will tell they say...for everything and
Undeniably it's true, in our case anyways.
The pact we made fell prey to it's corrosive touch.
Occupational hazard, that is your new life, caused our
Forgotten friendship to fade like echoes in an empty cave.
Maybe I just wasn't the high society you craved?
In hindsight I should have seen it coming.
Now all I look forward to is being
Deported, demoted, to the lost property box of your mind.

The title could have been less cliche, but after reading the poem and dwelling happily in its ambiguity I am loathe to suggest change.
The poem tastes like something that I cannot understand, and cannot decipher. But I do not want to stop partaking of it.
Well done!
Blessings,
C
