Once upon a time there was a bird
She flew free and high
Her feathers were of the brightest flame
A sight lovely to the eye
But one day
One tragic day
A man thought he could capture this free bird
And use her for play
The phoenix struggled hard at best
But she knew it was too late
He had lured her in so perfectly
And now had sealed his fate
All she would do was cry
Tears of the hottest flame
She had let him put her in this cage
He had only himself to blame
She knew she was unbreakable
The spirit forever-free
She had let him try his worst
And let what was to be, be
Knowing all along his fate
She played her role so well
It is she who has the last laugh now
Those who try to kill a phoenix burn in hell

Good
This is a very good supernatural style write...I like it, it doesn't really have the emotion I was looking for, but I do think it's really good, and it goes in the finalists for sure
