What is a role model?
Is it someone you look up to?
Someone who is kind to you,
who helps you when you need help?
Is it some one who picks you up when you fall down,
and tells you to take another swing?
Someone who influences you,
who you try to mimic every movement?
Is it someone you want to be like,
an embodiment of your future,
or at least what it should be,
or what it could be?
Although you may deny it, you have someone who you can trust.
Someone who won't stab you in the back, like my father did.

Welcome to AllPoetry!
Roll models and friends are treasures for sure. Being stabbed in the back is terrible but does happen to all of us it seams. Too bad too, because I like people.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless

Yes a role modle should be all those things. And the saddest part struck right at the end. I guess you can have people who are influential in your life in negative ways as well.
Thanks so much for your entry in out contest
