Reflected before me, in a wall of glass,
are all the hidden emotions
I have been remiss to recognise.
This body, this soul,
that I have kept close to my own
for so long, I have become blinded.
Blinded to every tender touch,
blinded to his whispered serenades,
blinded to love showered upon me each morn.
I stand here now, my radiant glow
becoming tarnished with each passing second,
as I blush from embarrassment and regret.
This tower of strength that reaches out to me
with passionate and open hands every day,
I have begun to take for granted.
Surprised he will be this eve,
to be repaid for all the love I'd dismissed
with a champagne banquet in the shade.
No longer will I ignore the glint in his eye,
no longer will I deny myself the treasure of his kiss,
no longer will I leave truth trapped within the glass.

How beautiful this is and how unique to write this in a female perspective. That could not have been easy and you pulled it off with such a romantic flair. I am happy that you were inspired by the beautiful poem by looneyeclipse to write another lovely piece!
