Shaded Requiem

Shadowed dreams.
Hush, my baby,
The monsters are all at bay.

Pointed teeth.
Quiet, my darling,
They're only just a dream.

Deadly talons.
Calm, my child,
It's only in your mind.

Glowing eyes.
Breathe, my dear,
They've all been swept away.

Author notes

It is written as a lullaby. I'm really happy with this poem though, because I've finally found a poem that works with my name.

Excellent, could be taken so many ways. At first it seemed an ode to safety, and then a trick, a deception...like the spider to the fly.

    All in the perpesctive, Excellent.
