Quietly you whisper,
And sing your soul to me.
You say that you're in love with me,
Even though it can't be true.
I've heard the stories,
And seen the proof
Of all your clever tricks.
You pretend to be my shining knight,
Just like you have for others.
I know you're playing make-believe,
And dragging me down with you.
I know I should stop ypu
Before I let you fall,
But your sweetness makes me weak,
And hardly able to think.
You've brought me within temptation,
And for now I'll play along,
But when you realize you're fooling yourself:
Remember, I always knew.

You've brought me within temptation,
And for now I'll play along,
But when you realize you're fooling yourself:
Remeber, I always knew.
Excellent last verse here, just one thing....the last line should be remember, a small typo
Congrats on the bronze.

i think this shoulda won a hell of a lot more then bronze. this is awesome and definitely relatable, because i can find parts in that i'm like 'yeah, that sounds like this and that situation i've been in.' it's quite the good piece.

yes, it's a poem, a great poem by the way! I really liked these lines ( and I relate a lot to your write ):
# I know you're playing make-believe,
...
# But your sweetness makes me weak,
# And hardly able to think.
Thank you for entering, and good luck
