The Spring of 1999,
I remember with such innocence,
how incandescent but gently that sun of that sky
beamed upon my beautiful brown skin,
Endless days in the 5th of my grade
was joyfully spent with my two best friends.
The construction team,
placed life in my neighborhood playground
because outside of my fun world,
I didn't know of such a happy place,
My house wasn't a home,
So I didn't always have a smiley face.
But through my trials and tribulations,
I found peace and the most rewarding bliss,
The summer of 1999 was even better then the Spring,
because it's when I had my first kiss.
So pure our hearts were...
A child roaring heart at romance is very sweet,
my little boyfriend originated that whole...
"He sweeps me off my feet".
Before memories could write their-selves down,
and before I could realize how fast time was going
the 6th grade approach,
it was different,
but it was still good 1999!,
We was force to mature a bit,
develop, so we expanded our minds.
There wasn't that playground my life was embedded,
or silly games to play where my heart would beat,
instead I found life in everything but where I lived,
venting in all ways from my horrible livings to win my defeat.
The ending of that year was troublesome,
but overall it was nice,
my new sprung romance died out though,
and my friends and I started this trend of departure,
but I gain a lot and learned more while growing with age,
Ending the year in a calm, collective December,
1999...
The year of many things...
I will always remember.
Author notes
This is by far one of my best piece's that I not only wrote well but that takes me back to a time in my life I remarkably remember...
