I think I saw a fox today
It did not jump or run away
It did not move, it did not bark
Its nose was dry, its eyes were dark
I looked at him, he looked at me
(I think he did; I could not see)
The woman on whose coat he rested
Looked at me and then requested
Could I 'please stop staring at
'Her matching set of coat and hat'
I said I would, and walked away...
I think I saw a fox today.

So very ture indeed. A powerful poem and think you for writing it. I'm the type of person who doesn't wear anything that comes from an animal including leather (I'm alergic to wool) nor eat meat so if I wrote something like this it would probably end up sounding 'radical' but you did a very good job of it. I would have understood it even without the title. Here are some clappy things, you deserve them.

Wow, this is powerful. I read through it a couple of times, and as Symphony wrote, without the title I would have been lost, but with it the poem is very clear, and hits hard. I'm shocked this one has not been loaded with smiley's, and I'm honored to offer the first of what should be many.

My Goodness....
This was fabulously written, what more can I say ....
If it weren't for the title of the poem, I would have had no idea that this was about fur coats until the very end of the poem itself!
Wonderfully written, and a message that everyone should read!
Thanks for entering -
Haha. This was funny but also conveyed an excellent message.
Thank you for your powerful entry and all the best in the contest.
