Through the deep midnight void
The dazzling stars twinkle
Beacons to shadowy worlds
In the twilight galaxies beyond
I find myself drifting
Alone yet surrounded
By hues Crayola never counted
Zooming behind a comet’s iridescent tail
And in the naked splendor of the cosmos
I found Saturn’s boundless rings
Seeming to gaze at me
As I gaped at their utter vastness
So if you look for me
In my tranquil valley above the sky
You’ll find me twirling in Saturn’s luxury
And you can reach it all if you try
Author notes
I am 13 years old.
I wrote this poem because I have always been fascinated with outer space and particularly Saturn's rings. I would probably live there if I could, though it sounds odd. I'd always have a great view.
