Giver

If Nature
has made you
for a giver,

your hands
are born open,
and so is
your heart;

and though
there may be times
when your hands are

                empty

your heart
is always full,

and you can give
things out of that –
warm things,
kind things,
sweet things;

help and comfort
and laughter –
and sometimes

gay, kind laughter
is the
best help
of all.

    This is a delightful and wise poem which also offers good counsel. I like the word flow and the progression of thought. Well Done!

    Oh! I love this! It is beautiful poetry, and I was just thinking this morning what a wonderful gift laughter is, a sort of poetry without words which indicates gifts of the spirit to be shared. This is just perfect! ~Karen
