She stands there,
Watching her children,
Getting farther and farther from the old ways.
Tears runs down her face.
She sees the earth spirit,
Go the of the buffalo.
The old prays are forgotten.
No one prays to the Earth Mother,
Sings no songs to Father Moon.
No one does the dances,
Burns the sweet grass,
Her children is dieing.
They to will go the way of the Buffalo.
She feels the pain,
As the earth twists in pain,
She watches as the white man,
Destroys what he does not own.
For every species he kills off,
Causes another crack in the circle Of life.
If the circle breaks,
All is lost.
She once again,
Takes the form of the white deer.
Sadly she turns her back on the world.
Woe be unto us and our children.

Is it too late for human kind?
I wonder. I really do? I am Metis, outcast of two worlds, Poet and weaver of waking dreams. Does anyone hear my voice? The Earth is dying..dying...gone.

This too is a gold write
Must have been difficult for Rory.
Well done, strongly and rightly written.

This is a very good interpretation of the picture and so aptly depicts the plight of our land. There are some typos and such, but they do not detract from a great write. I won't go over them here, but if you like I will in a separate message. Great job.

there is a loss of respect for all that God has created, we have sold our earth to our ego with our selfish wants and needs we are stripping the earth of its peaceful beauty as well as ourselves. excellent piece you put together. God bless

Nice one. I like the way you show this through the eyes of the woman lamenting that the old ways are no longer heeded.
