It's when I feel weak....that's when the enemy makes his move
Father I trust; because my soul belongs to You
I lift my hands and bless Your holy name
Satan tries to attack me
It's always the same
He throws the past in my face
I trip...
But You pick me back up
I'm not finished running my race
You wipe the tears from my eyes, dust the dirt from my clothes
And tell me to stand strong, because I'm too close
Satan whispers in my ear.....
"You'll never be good enough"
But Father You tell me not to fear
The enemy will not stop, he wants my soul
He's trying to get to me
But unto Your hand You tell me to hold
You tell me not to worry
And into to enemy's deceit not to feed
You give me a pat on the back
I begin to proceed.....
Adonai, You were there through my trials and tribulations
You helped me win
You were more than enough.......
You helped me get back up again
I love You

Nice work!
You understand the battle. Good poem! Line 9, "finished"; space after comma in line 10; Spelling on whispers, Adonai. You went to the past tense in the last stanza.
Hebrews 12:1-3, keep your eyes on Christ; Ephesians 6, gird yourself with the full armor of God. Meditate on these passages. -

I Love This!
My darling, what lovely sentiment, rhyme, but most of all love for our Creator & Father! I'm needing to eat lunch right now, but I see some things which could be tightened up. I'll have to get back to you with my proposed edits. This is a wonderful praise & witness & I can certainly identify with this on many levels. We always need give Him the best we can offer & I know with me there's much room for improvement with the gifts He's given me to share. I can sometimes be a better editor than writer & this all helps me to be better at who I am in Him! Thanks for setting the stage for a nice lunch & then a pleasant read of this piece again later! Blessings...
