My friends had been mean to me
one day, wanting only their way
and would not listen to me which
upset me very much.
I went to my grandparents
knowing I was always welcome
in their house.
I told Granny what had happened
and she said "There, there,
I have just the place for problems
like that".
She left the room and returned
with a beautiful colbalt blue jar
with a matching lid.
Granny said "When I have problems
I write them down on a piece of paper
and put them in my 'there, there jar'"
"That way I don't have to carry
them around any longer and I feel
much better and I always know they're
safely tucked away in this dark blue jar
that does not let in the light of day".
So I wrote down how I felt I was wronged
by my friends and dropped it in Grannys jar.
The moment the paper left my hand I felt better.
There was a sigh of relief
and I ran off to play.

What wonderful inspiration you got from the contest bro, I wouldn't mind trying out a there, there jar myself
...it reminds me of when I was young, if ever I hurt myself, say for instance my knee, my mum would say rub the other one and the pain will go away, and it always did
I think what is really working, is FAITH...
I am impressed with you as a writer, because you are very good at adding reality and interest...congratulations on winning an HM for a wonderful write
Much love from your ~sister

Neat contest, isn't it? Liked your take on this one - need one of those jars here too I guess! Should make some interesting reading here.

Oh I love this too
Lol that gave me a good chuckle! I think all parents should have one of these jars, nit just Granny's
Thanks so much for this really entertaining piece and all words spelling correctly

Their is spelled that way...<<< Do you have it purposefully spelled Thier?? Just curious. Cute poem too.
Reminds me of another story. Great job

Oooops!
Ooooops...I mispelled that word unintentionally. I often invert letters, I should spell check more often. Thanks for letting me know and your kind comment. Dennis

You're welcome. I thought it might be unintentional, that's why I said something.
