Fairy Beacon

Missing image
Illuminating evening's mantle
she rests aglow in resplendent plume.
Fireflies hum to her resonant beat,
drawn hypnotically within her sphere.
Gossamer wings spread radiant light,
in perfect form, a lambent beacon.
As night creatures lay in her protected aura
they gaily prance this night away.
Come dawn light her transparent wings
will become her cocoon of slumber until evening's cloak once again falls.

A very delicate work of words here poet. You've spun this poem with tender care. You draw the faerie in all her quiet and subtly. Making her a gentle creature, almost transparent. Lovely work! I am giving a hefty, slow, relieving sigh after reading this beautiful work of poetry. Thank you for this entry and I wish you the best in the Comp.
