Skies bathed in saffron,
orange delight blazed from the crevasse of night,
crimson cracks spread upon eastern horizons.
Somebody tipped an inkpot of red
upon the vastness of blue;
Oceans awoke, trapped in the lock
of the Sun's almighty lure,
rays of gold melting ice cold with the warmth of a kiss.
Seagulls arose into fresh painted skies,
waking the sparrows from sleep;
one broke to song; and all others sang right along..
Far away waves bade the shores rise;
golden sand shone on the land,
greeting the Sun's majestic trail, as he drove up in the skies.
Another dawn, another pawn
in the God's marvelous plan;
Watching the rose bloom from its gloom,
He smiled in faraway throne;
Waking Earth's trance, watching it break out in dance.

At the moment it stands - the second stanza only has one internal rhyme. If I am incorrect when you come online - let me know and I will re-judge. Apart from that, a beautiful piece.
