Swan Song

I heard you call in your darkest hour
little knowing there was anyone there
your words came tumbling like a torrent's flow
laying your inner most thoughts anguished and bare.

You lament not knowing which way to turn
or how to be rid of your pain
I am sending you a promise that will not bind
will free you from your suffocating chains.

Wings come on the rush of a whisper
pushing aside all your doubts and your fears
catching hold of your hand as you flounder
wiping away everything causing your tears.

Lift up your sweet face and begin smiling
let the world see you are determined and strong
fly free in the face of adversity.....
strength and wisdom is now your swan song.
