To Spring I Proclaim

Aroused by spirit, sealed

much too long, I long

for zephyr’s fragrance and

a song, of nature’s glory or

romance unbound as

I lay here

on this ground and

pondering things

yet to be dreamt, I release

my singing sighs as

to the heavens

they are prayerfully sent.

  • I very much like poems about nature. They are always so calming and peaceful. Good work. I like it all and wouldn't change a thing about it.

PS whilst it did not alter the sense of the piece to use of to instead of too in line two did jar a little when reading this.

  • Your words made me think of those evenings in early spring when you can feel something different in the air; a soft warmth easing away the chill of winter. I know that for you spring heralds the coming of summer and you can do all the things you enjoy so much again.

  • Oh daddy I think you have just beaten me in this contest. it has such a strong breese of spring within your words. well done daddy I love you
