Addictive Love

Do you really want to close that door
and let it be, what was before?
Ignorance and bliss to sway again
in the surface of this wooden door.

Do you really want to let it go
what we had in those nights?
Passion deeper than Earth itself,
passion hotter than Sun itself.

I know of how our hearts bled,
drowned in pain, clubbed to death,
but tell me now, honestly,
isn't that love, real, addictive love?

I know of how our hearts bled,
drowned in pain, clubbed to death,
    but tell me now, honestly,
isn't that love, real, addictive love?

    it gave me shivers.

This throws into sharp relief the double-edged
sword of raging passion. I really like the
questioning voice here and the simile used in
sun and earth....where one does revolve
around the other in constant pull and cycles.
