There in thoughts
memories of scented night air
when unforgiving Sun relents to darkness
world of toil, fades into shifting sands;
bared in cover of dim star light
nature undresses, and raises for rest
beneath calming quiet, in thoughts
of fingertips and lamplight
mysterious inner shadows hover
return of lovers, hidden by day.
